On April 6 the men of Chi Alpha, the Assemblies of God student group, honored the women of Chi Alpha with a “Ladies’ Night Out,” an annual event that includes a dinner and evening of entertainment planned, hosted, and performed by the guys. The theme was “Southern Belles and Southern Gentlemen.” The event was held in C3’s worship center.
Cooking for the ladies!
48 Belles and about 15‐20 Gentlemen participated in this display of Christian chivalry.
The purpose was to “let God work through each of us [men] to show you [ladies] the love you deserve and the love you were created to receive,” according to the letter of invitation.
It offered a chance for the girls to dress up and be waited on by the guys. “Our prayer as you depart this evening is that you would walk away knowing full well that you are beautiful, you are loved, and Christ died for you,” stated the invitation.
Some of the Belles brought their non‐Christian friends, and so the evening offered an outreach opportunity as well. The event was also a fundraiser and raised $800 for Chi Alpha.
