We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Claiborn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Candace, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
There is so much beauty to be seen and experienced in the world, and I believe art and creativity is one of the most profound ways to connect people to deeper meaning and freedom.
Art and creativity come most naturally to me and I feel super fulfilled when I am working this industry.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The heart of my art is my ability to “hear & share”. As I spend time in nature and connecting with The Creator, my ears are open to messages that meet the needs and hearts of people who long to hear that they are seen and known.
With the my background in makeup artistry, starting in 2010, and my more recent speaking platform connecting the message of inner and outer beauty with simple methods called “The Core 4” and “The Art of Conversation”, I’ve gotten to where I am today by doing the work of building self-confidence and making courageous choices.
It was hard to choose a creative industry vs. continuing in corporate, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I realized that the wealth of relationships and time means more to me than anything.
It is indeed possible to do what you have been designed to do, invest in your family, and enjoy the beautiful things of the world.
I want the world to know that Beauty Revealed is an example of living life with eyes wide open. We all have beauty within us. The process of revealing is ongoing, whether it is overcoming low self-esteem like myself, or taking steps to becoming a person of integrity, please be patient with yourself and know that the seed of beauty is within us all.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them on a moderate hike up South Mountain in Phoenix, AZ to see the sunrise, followed with brunch at First Watch for something light and with healthy options.
We’d definitely spend the day at the Palo Verde Spa at the Andaz to enjoy a great massage and poolside lunch.
Do some shopping at Kierland Commons, have fresh seafood at Buck N’ Riders, and finish the night with dessert, coffee and a cozy place to read at Lux Central.
We’d close out the weekend with a nice manicure/pedicure at my favorite spot in Chandler, AZ, Modern Allo.
Throughout the weekend we’d enjoy luxury accommodations at the Kimpton Palomar hotel downtown in their boutique accommodations and party rooftop bar.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, friend, lover, and father of my three children, Thomas (Tommy) Claiborn IV, deserves a huge shoutout. He is a visionary and has given me so much guidance on this journey.
His candor and care are like none other. His patience and love helps me to reveal more of myself and share it with the people I get to serve.
